Woodie Christmas

Anybody who was watching BBC One after tonight's broadcast of the Doctor Who 2007 Christmas Special - "Voyage of the Damned" - will have seen the BBC's first official trailer for season two of Torchwood. The trailer shows Captain Jack returning to the Hub (after the events of Doctor Who season three), Captain John deciding he likes Poodles, and Martha Jones entering the Torchwood base. Exciting stuff!

You can watch the trailer via FreemaAgyeman.com here.

Alternatively there's screencaps here.

From everybody at Torchwood.tv, have a great Christmas Day (what remains of it) and here's hoping that the Christmas holidays are every bit as relaxing as you no doubt deserve them to be!

2008 is almost upon us. January edges closer...

Merry Christmas!

In case anybody is wondering why I don't have anything to say on this blog anymore it is quite simply because I can't stand what RTD is doing with WHO and its' offspring these days and I really couldn't care less about what he has in store for us next.

So I've kept my negative opinions to myself as I always thought this should be a fun positive blog. I bit my tongue and didn't spend much time writing about how horrible 'Last of the Time Lords' was this past summer.

I had been holding out hope that Russell had some more of the magic left in him that got me so pumped during the show's first season back. I quite liked SJA as a matter of fact and figured things were turning around. That hope was dashed after that travesty of an episode last night.

With RTD at the helm, WHO and everything tied to it is on a 'Voyage of the Damned.' I'm certainly ready to toss him off the boat.

Plain speaking is the only way I know.

Slight problem. Till I get e-mail (yahoo now require an established e-mail address) cannot access the board these caps are on.

Appreciate this might not be a usual problem, but perhaps fans need to think about peeps who might be in similar position.

Great work with the board though. Thank you !!

(Silly question - pics of John from Aladdin in Birmingham - taken by fans - only two so far in the open !! More please !!)

Thanks.

Pat.

Yeah well said BWPR , lay of RTD he brought the show back and its absolutely fantastic. He and the crew produce 3 fantastic tv programs a year with a great cast.

I wouldn’t say that Rusty’s Resurrection puts him beyond reproach [how many would say the same about Philip Segal?] but then I happen to have really enjoyed these past three seasons of Who-shaped TV, which also gave rompin’ Torchwood and the sparkly SJA to the world.

Incidentally, the phrase ‘BWPR, lay of RTD’ raised an uncontrollable chuckle. I’m not trying to criticise anyone’s spelling or grammar so sorry for any offence, it’s just that the use of ‘of’ instead of ‘off’ in the sentence turned it into some sort of bizarre new insult…

Obviously there are some out there who disagree with me and to that I say whatever floats your boat. I just think WHO is supposed to be in a class all it's own, not full of American movie cliches, with sappy melodrama.

I do and have praised RTD for bringing the show back, the first year was one great story after another with a nice umbrella theme over it. Since then things have just been iffy with generously 1/2 of each season being great and the other episodes being either completely forgettable or just plain embarrassing like LOTTL and VOTD. When I listen to the commentaries lately of RTD and Julie talking about how brilliant they are I just want to strangle them.

So anyway, my point really just is, since I have no desire to start a new negative blog, that's why I'm never on this one anymore. I doubt anybody in charge cares if they turn me off to the show, despite my 25 year loyalty to it, there are plenty of folks who will eat up what they are putting out now, It just isn't to my taste.
