Friday Night Lights

Torchwood's 25th episode, "Fragments", will air Friday 28th March instead of the usual Wednesday night slot that we've been use to up to this point. Next week we have two episodes airing on BBC Two - Wednesday brings "Something Borrowed", and on Friday something comes "From Out of the Rain". Thereafter new episodes will premiere on BBC Two Friday nights.

A brief synopsis for "Fragments": "A booby-trapped building explodes and knocks the team unconscious. As each team member's life flashes before their eyes, viewers learn how each of them was recruited to Torchwood: Captain Jack was initiated into a shocked Victorian Torchwood in 1899; Toshiko went on a daring mission to trade alien technology for her mother's life; Ianto wooed Jack with coffee and a flair for alien-catching; and Owen had a medical revelation that changed how he saw the world."

Meanwhile, Julian Bleach (who many believe will play Dalek creator Davros in the next series of Doctor Who) has been confirmed as appearing in PJ Hammond's "From Out of the Rain".

There's further casting news (many not that reliable...) over on the Sci-Fi Pulse news site.

Where is this info from? The Radio Times and bbc.co.uk both say that 'From Out of the Rain' airs as usual next Wednesday, and that there are no episodes of Torchwood listed for next Friday. The Friday airings do not start until the following week (Adrift, March 21st).

I'm really upset about this. I can't watch on Fridays :(

The rescheduling doesn't effect me in the US, but wouldn't you moderators like to comment on SciFys reports on the dumbing down of the show and the departure of John Barrowman, Tosh & Owen? That is what concerns me.

I think no one has commented on the SciFy report as it seems obviously fake. I mean...John Barrowman is hugely popular and has said time and again that he wants to continue with the show for as long as it airs. Then you have to look at how popular the show is in it's current format; it just seems beyond belief that they would mess with that format at this stage of the game.... It just doesn't ring true. And I haven't taken that report seriously at all.

Surely John can't be going. I mean he is Torchwood. It's gotta be a lie, and John said how he wants to stay involved for years to come and RTD can't be stupid enough to axe him.
