Britain's best selling tabloid newspaper, Rupert Murdoch's "The Sun", today printed an interesting rumour about what exactly might happen during Doctor Who's third season finale (which, as every good Woodie knows, is set to feature John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness).
According to the newspaper (invisotext time, as if true, the rumours could very well spoil the end of Doctor Who 2007) John Simms - Sam Tyler from "Life on Mars" - is set to play the role of the Master, after Derek Jacobi dies and regenerates into him. Whether or not this rumour is entirely true has yet to be seen; but the newspaper did correctly predict the Dalek/Cyberman war last year...
If true though, it would mean that Captain Jack will be the first Doctor Who companion of the "New Series" (and the first since Ace in the 1980's) to have faced all three of the Doctor's main arch rivals.
I wonder what Jack's policy is on sleeping with evil geniuses who want to control the Earth. Do you think he makes them buy him dinner first?
