Just before I post a huge spoiler on the site, I'll quickly run over the site's policy on spoilers for any newbies reading: We love them, and post them on the site at a regular basis. Anyways, click in the comments section for a gaint spoiler regarding the opening 2/3 minutes of Torchwood. It's not confirmed information at the minute, but several sources have agreed that it is correct.

Obviously someone saw the opening for some reason (by now it seems every journalist on this side of the globe has seen the trailer AND the first episode *grumbles*), here's what he remembers:
It details Gwens first look at the Torchwood team.
Here are a few highlights ....
Gwen runs across a deserted car park roof in the rain at night ... At the edge she looks over - unseen - to see the team at work.
A man is lying dead ..... Surrounded by lights ..... Jack says he can taste oestrogen in the rain "They take the pill .. Wash it away - enters the water cycle - feminises the fish then it comes down in the rain - at least I'll not get pregnant - I'd never do that again".
Meanwhile the team bring the man back to life using some kind of gauntlet and power gizmos.
Toshiko " Listen to me - we only have two minutes - it's important that you listen ... Trust me - you're dead "
Man (terrified) "I'm not dead - I can see you"
Toshiko " We bought you back - I'm sorry you have to concentrate - who did this to you - who killed you - did you see them?"

Gwen continues to watch from the car park - not sure of what she's seeing .... The rain continues to pour down .....
Dead Man: (still terrified) "I don't wanna be dead"
Suzie: "60 seconds"
Toshiko: "You've got to think - just focus on me - what was the last thing that you saw?"
Dead Man: "I didn't see anything"
Toshiko: "Who killed you? - did you see them?"
Dead Man: "I dunno there was something behind me"
Owen: "Police said there was one stab wound to the back
Toshiko: "So you didn't see anything?
Dead Man: "No ... what happens now?"
Suzie: "30 seconds"
Toshiko: ".. but he didn't see anything ...."
Suzie: "don't waste it"
Toshiko: "What do I say ????"
Jack becomes concerned - he kneels down and smiles ....
Jack: (concerned and warm) "What's your name?"
Dead Man: "John - John Tucker"
Jack: "OK John - not long now"
Dead Man: "Who are you?"
Jack: "Captain Jack Harkness"

This scene was presented at the BBC Storytelling Festival last week (whatever on earth that is!)
Apparantly it wasn't actually the whole episode, I think I might have read somewhere that it was multiple scenes, but this is the only one I've seen reported online.
Look on the bright side, you didn't see this but you did see the trailer at the proms! I've seen nothing yet so I'm living vicariously through the rumour mills on OG and LJ :)

Whahaha, the dead man's name is John Tucker! Do you think he was named after the main character of the film "John Tucker Must Die"?
