Well actually I'm quite dubious about this ... but what the hell here goes nothing. I was made aware of some handheld low-quality footage posted on Youtube by a mysterious "M." It does seem to look very much like the description of the opening scene of the series, which we spoiled here. Even if it has nothing to do with Torchwood it is still quite intriguing. Watch if you dare.

Wow, this is incredible. To me, it looks like someone got a vantage point with a home video just above the scene, and then is surprised by someone wearing, what appears to be, dark blue clothing.
From this, I start infering that, if a home video, and that dark blue suggests Jack, why would JB be up on the "parking garage" during the scene unless needed to be? I'm thinking this could be actual TW filming, but would probably be used for a commercial, or something.
I've seen the BBC3 promo trailer and while that clip might be a rehearsal of some sort, it certainly wasn't the finished article - wasn't tipping it down with rain, for a start, weren't enough people around, the lights were too far out.... :) Interesting, but nothing that I would even regard as much of a spoiler.
That's so cool. Kinda scary too. I think the homevideo-ness of it definately adds to the atmosphere. I'm inclined to agree that it's marketing though.
Firstly, if someone had been caught filming like that, I'm pretty sure the BBC would have prevented them from posting it.
Not to mention the fact that sending it to several sites isn't really subtle.
Plus it looks like Jack (or at least his costume) running towards the camera at the end. So unless John Barrowman's moonlighting as a security guard and can teleport back down there to finish the scene...though it's probably a double really.
OK, enough analysing from me. I think I'd rather just go "Torchwood! Squeee!" like the fangirl that I am, much more fun that way :) Although, I think it's possibly more exciting if it has been posted by the BBC. Shows how much attention to detail's gone into promoting the show.
Now that we have seen the trailer it does seem to raise some questions. It is not raining hard in this clip, like in the trailer, it doesn't look like it is the same guy who is revived in the trailer, and it is not Gwen's perspective since she was with the police right at the scene when Torchwood take command.

I was sent this before by e-mail, and I wondered what was happening. I had no idea it was for Torchwood the series! Whoa!!!
That's awesome. All it does is make me even MORE excited for the show. ^^ If that's even possible at this point. :manic grin:
