Partying Like It's 22nd October...

I'm curious about how Torchwood.tv readers plan to celebrate Torchwood's launch on the 22nd (or 25th for some). How will you be watching the show?

TORCHWOOD - 22ND/25TH OCTOBER 2006

Will you sit with a loved one, or alone in a dark room where you can admire Captain Jack and his team in their full glory?

Will you watch the debut night on BBC Three, or choose to watch the show with everybody else on 25th? That's assuming you have Freeview...

Is anybody planning to buy Freeview especially for Torchwood's launch?

Are you going to throw a Captain Jack (or Weevil) themed party to celebrate? Or are you one of those who'll completely forget that it's even on until the very last minute?

Please, feel free to write a comment in the comments section below, telling us exactly how you plan to watch this fantastic new series.

Torchwood.tv prides itself in being an interactive service, and we'd love to hear from you all...

So get typing!

The girlfriend's away the weekend of 22nd October, so I'll be watching the series alone. My Mum's started to notice the trailers on television at last though - so I could be tempted to watch it with her. What do you reckon? Is Torchwood mum-friendly? And you just know that I'm going to watch the BBC Two repeat as well...because ratings are so important! Lets aim high for Torchwood and get a 2nd, 3rd and 4th season commissioned!

i'm so excited about torchwood! i'm going away when it's on but thank god it's on bbc1 and 2 so i won't have freeview but i'll be safe with terrestrial till i get back! i don't get though how gwen could kiss the alien girl in one of the trailers and kiss jack too. unless she's into both too like jack?

Well, for Doomsday me and a few friends had a Doctor Who sleepover, complete with Tardis Cake (baked by yours trully, none of that shop bought stuff!) and we were planning something similar...unfortunatly, a Sunday night puts a spanner in the works due to school...darn the BBC! So I'll just watch with my sister, who shall drool for the 50 minutes over Jack...we'll probaly shriek with hapiness a few times too....*grins*

Might bake a cake while I'm at it, actually...Jack HArkness in sponge...

Staying up late watching Torchwood on a Sunday night, then waking up late the next day is a worthy sacrifice! lol. Please, e-mail us a picture of the Torchwood picture if you have a chance. We'll definately post it on the site - if only to make other readers hungry! :) Nice to meet you btw.

We got a Freeview box for christmas, essentially just for Torchwood, but found the flats we live in don't have their aerials set up to receive digital. Ten months of nagging later, however, and today they finally upgraded them, with only nine days to go.

...And then I find they're repeating it on BBC 2. Still, at least we get to be three days ahead and smug about Torchwood Declassified.

(smack) Sorry, flashbacks to 10 years ago.

I'm going to obtain this through all means necessary, esp since the official site is being a butt to us on the wrong side of the pond.

Yes us statesiders don't pay license fees afterall. Some folks have posted the UK-only clips from the official site in OG and other groups.

If you are in the US like myself and finding creative ways to watch the show, make sure you do the right thing and buy the DVD when it comes out, either that or mail in a voluntary cross-atlantic license fee to the Beeb.

I will most probably be watching the premiere with my wife on slight delay on Monday the 23rd. I haven't found any big viewing parties here in Seattle yet. The Emerald City Androgums usually do something.

I'm gunna be watching it on my 45inch widescreen, as it should be seen! I'm really looking forward to it and i'm really sad only one series will be made!
