No Significance Whatsoever

Despite John Barrowman's appearence on "This Morning", er...this morning, today's been another of those increasingly annoying 'slow news' days. So, with little actual Torchwood news to go off, I thought I'd be brave and report about a brand spanking new American drama called "Heroes" - and some truely fantastic casting news.

NOW COME ON, DON'T GIVE ME THAT ATTITUDE...

According to TV Guide:

"Question: Your superpower is super scoop. Save the world and give us some Heroes poop.— Sarah

Ausiello: Fanboys, prepare to piddle yourself. Christopher Eccleston — the original Dr. Who from the current Sci Fi/BBC series — is joining the cast in January in a really super (tee-hee) role. Speaking of cool casting, wait until you see who's ******* ****'s ****. You're going to flip."

Christopher Eccleston, probably the best-Doctor-ever, in a US drama? Stranger things have happened. It's a neat thought how fate has switched John Barrowman and Chris Eccleston around: one a (practically) American actor working in a (practically) British show; the other a Brit now working in America.

And we love them both (especially JB!).

Good luck Chris.

Now, is a Torchwood/Heroes crossover out of the question?*

*Relax boys and girls, I'm joking!

Original? That is an impressive power, being cast in a TV series some 31 years after you've died :P

Actually, getting in to really fannish semantics, "Original Dr. Who" would be the Cushing/Dalek movie Doctor. As he was the only one explicitly called Dr. Who on screen :P (I think).

Anyway this is pretty cool. I've heard Heroes is pretty good.

Wow, Cristopher Eccleston is going to be on Heroes? There are already alot of Heroes, but if Cristopher Eccleston is as amazing as he is in Doctor Who, I really don't mind anothe one. I bet the show will get even better than it is now

Woah. Maybe this will redeem (slightly) Heroes for me. I personally hate the show. >>; But yaaay! :D

Now that'd be a reason to check out Heros, which I've been avoiding until now.

You lot do know where to find Indira Varma now, do you not?
