Who Killed The Radio Star?

My eyes aren't anywhere near as good asthey used to be; but still even I can't believe I missed this cracking piece of Torchwood news from this month's Doctor Who Magazine. I think it's about time I considered investing in a pair of specs!

BBC Audiobooks have plans to release brand new audio only adventures for the Torchwood team. Producer Michael Stevens explains: "In essence, we have been given the go-ahead to commission and produce a range of original stories, initially available on CD and by digital download, which will be exclusive to BBC Audio."

"We're aiming to produce Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures stories, and they'll hopefully be read by members of the TV casts. It's too early to give any further details, but suffice to say we're highly delighted, and hugely excited, that this is going to happen!"

I've heard a fan rumour that if succesful the adventures may well find themselves a home on BBC 7 Radio (but that's just a fan rumour at the moment, and nothing more)

Don't forget that the first three novel adaptions for the Torchwood books are set for release on Monday 2nd April. You can pre-order your copies by using Kurly's handy link at the top left of this page, or by heading on over to the BBC Shop here. Happy listening!
