Sleeper Cell

As you've all probably noticed by now, we've got another new writer joining the team here at Torchwood.tv. My good friend Paul Robinson, aka Peter Pan, has helped me on the Sarah-Jane.tv site for the last year or so; so I figured it was time to reward his patience and promote him up to the mothership. You all be nice to him (and say a nice friendly hello!)

Introductions over... let's get down to business!

The BBC Press Office has released information regarding the second episode of Torchwood series two. Called "Sleeper", the episode is written by James Moran of "Severance" fame (you can read his day to day blog by clicking here). It's directed by Colin Teague, and an episode summary can be seen below - but be warned, SPOILERS!

"When a burglary turns into a slaughter, Torchwood suspect alien involvement, as the award-winning drama created by Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies continues. Who is Beth, and can she be as innocent as she seems? However, when the investigation escalates into a city-wide assault, Captain Jack realises that the whole planet is in danger."

The pre-watershed cut down edition (which I'll fondly refer to as Torchwood Take II) shows on BBC Two on Thursday evenings, from 7pm. It's followed by a 10 minute edition of Torchwood Declassified.

The Declassified episode following "Sleeper" has "a special report from the thick of the action of this explosive episode." It also goes "on location in the centre of Cardiff", and "director Colin Teague and series producer Richard Stokes explain the complications of filming the series' biggest-ever visual effect." Oh, and if that wasn't enough "Eve Myles also talks about her character, Gwen Cooper."

There's this part of me that just wants Christmas and New Year to be over so that we can have Torchwood back on our screens again right away. So, Santa deliver those presents, and lets be having you!!

Just wondering...at 7pm, do you think the kids version will, at any point, clash with BBC3s DW reruns? Or will it go in some sort of rota or something?
My little sister can finally watch TW.She's been dying to, and already learned the characters and plots and everything) but i don't know which she'd choose between DW and TW...
