Following the departure of Richard Stokes (who oversaw the programme's first two seasons, but has now joined ITV's "Law and Order UK" series) Torchwood has a new producer! According to the official Torchwood site over on BBCi it's Peter Bennett - who has past experience working on both Doctor Who and Torchwood - and has worked on the likes of "The Mummy", "A View to a Kill" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom".
The news story also confirms that Euros Lyn will direct his first Torchwood episodes next series. The director has previously worked on a number of Doctor Who stories including "The Unquiet Dead" (with Eve Myles amongst its cast!), Hugo Award winning "The Girl in the Fireplace", "The Runaway Bride" and - more recently - Steven Moffat's two part adventure "Silence in the Library" and "Forest of the Dead".
Series three will transmit on BBC One, a Torchwood first. It'll tell one single adventure over the course of five episodes which may or may not transmit on consecutive nights one week in 2009.
They'll be two additions to the cast, to fill the void left by the departures of Burn Gorman (Owen Harper) and Naoko Mori (Dr. Toshiko Sato).

Also, there's a DigitalSpy news story regarding something Russell T Davies said to the New York Times last week about Doctor Who & Torchwood's largely postitve portrayal of Captain Jack Harkness as a bi-sexual man*.
*Though we all know he's not bi-sexual, but omni-sexual, right?

Dear Torchwood.TV:
I am a Canadian journalist in Ottawa researching a story about Doctor Who and Torchwood. I would like to interview Russell T. Davies. Would anyone be able to help point me in the right direction?
I would appreciate any tips.
Sincerely,
James Moran
