So you all know by now that John Barrowman can sing, but what some of you may not know is that (among other Torchwood cast members) Gareth David-Lloyd has a fair set of pipes on him as well. His band is called Blue Gillespie. Alongside him are Anthony Clark on guitar, Rhys Bryant on bass and Nick Harrison on drums.
You can find the band through their MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/bluegillespie
“Blue Gillespie - A blues/rock ensemble aimed at music fans of all ages who are dissatisfied or have some pessimistic demons to exorcise.
The name originates in the idea that all of us have an alter-ego made up of the most negative aspects of our personality and the only way to prevent our angry doppelgänger from surfacing in polite company is to vent through music.”
If you like what you hear, you can buy the EP, Cave Country, (there’s a special edition signed by the band) or you can keep an eye on their MySpace page to find out when and where their next gig is going to be played.
They are not currently scheduled for an American tour, but they are very interested in doing one.
If you would like to sponsor them, please contact them through their MySpace or through Gareth’s official website: http://www.garethdavid-lloyd.co.uk/
If you like Blue Gillespie and are hungry for more, you can check out Disgracelands, which is the other project these talented musicians (sans Gareth) have been working on, with “Nic” on lead vocals. If you want to see them live, you should get on it fast, because their goodbye gig is coming up on April 4th at LePub in Newport, Wales.

(Note: edited to fix the link to Gareth's website)

"They are not currently scheduled for an American tour, but they are very interested in doing one."
Yet, in your 14 March entry, you said "Hell, Gareth David-Lloyd is touring America with his band!"
Can't you be consistently wrong or fact-check or something?
Great info - thanks for this bit of info. I had no idea!

A big reason I put this up here is to clear all that up. Lots of readers responded to that entry you're talking about with the proper information that the band was not on tour in America. I'd like to point out that the two articles were written by two different writers and the article with the misinformation wasn't focusing on the band. It was just a mistake and now you have the right info. :)
:O Wow. I didn't know he was in a band to be honest. When I read it, I had a completly different idea in my head of what he'd sound like...completly different to what he actually DOES sound like. Impressive...
Nick Harrison recently said on Facebook that he's splitting with the band. It sounds like it's on good terms but I think it might be a while before the band does any more touring if they are sans drummer.
