Girl Number 9

Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood), Joe Absolom (Doc Martin, Personal Affairs), and Tracy-Ann Oberman (Doctor Who, Eastenders) star in a upcoming new webseries written by James Moran (Doctor Who, Torchwood, Severance), Girl Number 9.

SYNOPSIS
Vincent Boylan (Joe Absolom) has just been arrested, suspected of being behind the brutal murder of seven girls, but the team only have a limited time to get a confession. If they can't make him talk, he could slip through their fingers. Detective Matheson (Gareth David-Lloyd), who is leading the investigation, is sent to try and get some answers. But things soon take a horrifying turn for the worse, as Matheson and his boss Lyndon (Tracy-Ann Oberman) find out that all is not as it seems. The mystery deepens as everyone is drawn into Boylan's sick mind games, and each twist-packed episode ends on a tantalizing cliffhanger, making every installment a must-see.

Girl Number 9 is a dark thriller created exclusively for the internet in six 5-minute episodes. Production began on 09/09/09. The show premiers on October 30, 2009 at 9pm. The first three episodes are directed by award-winning feature director Dan Turner. James Moran makes his directorial debut in episodes 4-6. Produced by Martin Baker and Pete Coogan. Follow the official website or Twitter for news, photographs, trailers, and more.

Thanks for this! I'll definitely check it out. And, thanks for the link... It'll be fun to see GDL in a different role. Being in ths US, my exposure has been limited.

I'm from the UK and haven't seen him in anything but Torchwood myself... I think he had a couple of minor TV roles pre-Ianto but nothing many people would recognise him from.

I'm completely new to the idea of web-only shows, although I like the idea of 5 minute episodes - I guess that can only be done on internet.

I don't wanna sound mean or nasty because I sure know I wouldn't be able to find any torchwood news atm but this site is really rather dead.

I just check in to see what news links have been updated. I just with the BBC would hurry up and commission series 4. 2010 has a very tight window, with JB's panto & concert schedule. He says he has set aside some time for filming, once they get the go ahead. So, BBC - Go Ahead!!!

Sorry, times have been busy and Children of Earth has left me a bit winded. I do plan to continue posting articles and I'm sure my fellow writers are on the same page.

Thanks for sticking with us!

Hey please don't let this blog die!
There's a far bit of news about, I mean Eve Myles had her baby at the beginning of the month, there're conventions, Barrowman on Children in Need not to mention his show, the possibility of another series as said above and also the whole SaveIantoJones campaign!
Please continue this blog, keep Torchwood going! :)

Well said TW forever - I felt i shouldn't moan about lack of postings considering i didn't volunteer to write on this blog myself (i prefer to lazily post links as i did above you), but there are what - 13 "contributers" on this site now? People who must care enough to actually APPLY to write about Torchwood?? I haven't seen even one article from the majority of them! Why apply in the first place if you're not even vaguely interested?

I don't understand it really... there must be someone out there who wants to and can keep jackharkness's legacy alive (yes i said legacy :) ). Who has control of allowing people to contribute? Maybe a some hiring and firing is in order??
