Barrowman's Bum

JB appeared on an ITV program called The 5:00 Show Friday and said that Torchwood and Season 29 of Doctor Who will still both fit into his schedule. This is obviously great news and seems to indicate that the spinoff is still steadily on course. But it is not as fantastic news for some as the other information he spilled, that we will probably get to see his posterior on the new spinoff.

His statements were all rather vague, and JB's website still states Autumn 2006 as the premiere date for Torchwood. So no real answers yet, we might get them in Barrowman's next scheduled interview on Friday February 3rd from 12:30 to 1:30 on LBC radio 97.3FM with Alison Bell. At least the second half of the show will also be podcast. She is even soliciting questions via email, so now is your chance to drill Captain Jack about Gwen.

This must be good news - if not fantastic news. I gather he's returning to Dr Who as well.

on johnbarrowman.net jb (if I may call him that!) says in his own blog "2006 will be a great year... I look forward to Torchwood, and returning to Doctor Who later in the year will be a treat too" This suggests that he'll return to DW (if I may call it that!) in early season three.

I don't know if you've seen Russell.T.Davies' Casanova Kurly, but one of the stars, Rose Byrne, would be perfect for the role of Gwen in Torchwood (I encourage you to watch it when it airs on American TV any day now day!) Rose is a fantastic actress and we'd be lucky to have her on board the show. So, should we start the petition here...?

there's never been a question of his returning to DW (series 3) he's stated so in previous interviews and it says it in his blog on jb.net

Yes I have seen Casanova, thought it was great. The ending left me wanting a bit though. Ok I will start the Rose campaign straight away.
