The date's been set

It's now official, John Barrowman will join into wedded bliss with Scott Gill on December 27th in Cardiff. Of course all of the Torchwood crew will be at the ceremony to throw rice at the happy couple, the BBC did a nice write-up about the announcement here.

Welcome to the other side JB, I just recently got here myself, and now I'm off with my wife to her first Thanksgiving. I'm sure Torchwood will be the centerpiece of conversation with the family this year.

Also don't forget, JB will be on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, a music quiz show, at 10pm tonight on BBC2. Toodles.

Awww, using ones marriage as promotional activity. Now I don't know if I would be so happy about that >:(

He's been asked about it in virtually every interview he's done since the law changed in Britain - and given that he hasn't hidden his relationship with Scott, why would he hide the ceremony? He's making an important statement about gay relationships deserving the same recognition as straight ones.

And on the 27th December we all will be wishing him and Scott the best of luck and a very happy life.

Best Wishes to John!! I hope he has a lovely day, and I wish him the best. I've always thought same-sex lovers should be able to do this. In fact I think we should get rid of the whole civil partnership/marriage disparity in naming and just call them all civil partnerships in legal documents and keep marriage as a word you can choose to use or not use personally.

Well, you are right there. For me, currently living in holland, same sex marriage is something quiet normal so I did not consider that it might be different in other countries. Sorry for that. Of course also my best wishes to John.

Oh bugger I missed John on Nevermind the Buzzcocks last night. Do you know what the repeat date is?

Many thanks,

Karen

I'm going to hopefully see John in Jack in the Beanstalk at the New Theatre in Cardiff next month (the play opens 16th December) but I haven't booked yet. I'd also love to see him sing.

I'd like to wish them both good luck and hope they have a lovely day. My Grandparents got married the same day nearly 50 year ago. I hope they enjoy their life together as much as my grandparents are. Anyway good luck.

And yet another simply edible man bites the dust. Goodbye John.

The single hetra/homo-sexual viewers will miss you immensely.

Being female Inever really stood a chance, but a girl can still dream. Now it just leaves me Ianto and Owen. Wow! Such a choice!

Good luck Scott and John!
