I've just received an email off Claire Soper, who went to last weekend's "SF Ball" in Bournemouth city centre. Actress Elisabeth Sladen ('Sarah Jane Smith') was in attendence - and during a question and answer session with the audience, Sladen revealed that production on "The Sarah Jane Adventures" is being delayed... because of Torchwood.
Sladen cites "production problems" on Torchwood's behalf - whatever that means. Her suggestion is something is seriously wrong with Torchwood; meaning most of BBC Wales' attention is focused upon that one show for now. What the inplications are for both "Torchwood" and "The Sarah Jane Adventures" remains to be seen.
This adds to the current rumour that Torchwood won't be returning until 2008 at the earliest. Perhaps there's been some problems now that the series is moving to the far more mainstream BBC Two? Whatever the reason, Torchwood.tv will update when we hear some more.

I don't like hearing that there are problems. But it is better to know something is wrong than not knowing anything.
That could mean almost anything... or nothing of substance. I'm not sure it's helpful to spread what amounts to non-information and doesn't accomplish much but make people anxious.
This makes me scared! It's porbably nothing but it could be realllly bad... like what if they crew have all fallen out so they'll have to axe the series!! :O no! But it's probably nothing! xD
Lots of people kept saying that Torchwood needed to be "fixed" for its second series, but I don't think many of them thought about the prices that would have to be paid to do so.
Now we know what they are.
Nice jump from "production problems" to "something is seriously wrong with Torchwood".
It could mean anything. Anyway, so what? It is still very early on in production and any extra time spent on the programme can only be a good thing.
I agree with the person who said that it can be anything or nothing and serves no purpose. If Sladen is citing production problems either she's speaking out of turn (the BBC might want to have a chat with her) or she/they should be more specific. Idle minds...

sarah jane starts filming april 16, torchwood on april 30th till late nov so prob wont be screened till 2008. no holdup. these dates were set last year.
