It's great news for the production team behind "Torchwood", as the series has been nominated for a grand total of eight BAFTA Cymru awards. The only downside? In almost all of the categories it's going head-to-head with the series that spawned it, "Doctor Who"! I'll let reporters from the Western Mail explain...
"The BBC Wales dramas, both written by Swansea writer Russell T Davies, have a total of 21 nominations between them - 13 for Doctor Who and eight for Torchwood.
The two series are in direct competition to win best drama series along with another BBC Wales programme, Belonging.
And Doctor Who's David Tennant will be up against John Barrowman, Torchwood's Captain Jack, for the best actor gong while former Doctor Who star Billie Piper and Torchwood's Eve Myles are both in the running for the best actress award."
Sometimes a little friendly competetion can do wonders, hey? We'll learn who the winners are following a lavish ceremony at Cardiff International Arena on April 28. The big night is set to be hosted by husband-and-wife team Rhodri and Lucy Owen. No, I haven't heard of them either.
I'm guessing that they're Wales' answer to Richard and Judy...

Aaarrghh no! Please let it not be so. There's only room for one Richard and Judy, and preferably it has barred windows and a padlock on the door :)
Lots of coverage of JB's trip to the stables to meet Hucking Harkness on his site here.
Atropos .... its worse than that ... trust me ... I am a Cardiff local (by adrress, not birth!)....
The Western Mail are also about to do a series of double sided Who posters. As yet, they cant tell me exactly which heroes and villains are set to appear. Am willing to bet Captain Jack is one of them. Anyone want me to pick up copies for them? lol
