"There's only seven of us left now."

The folks over at DigitalSpy have published a "top-ten" list of juicy things that you are itching to know about the upcoming season of Torchwood, and a series of quotes reportedly lifted from the script of the first episode. WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD:

PHOTO FROM DIGITALSPY

The article gives several details about Captain John, including three special rules: "Don't believe anything he says, always keep him in front of you and under no circumstances, let him kiss you." The latter possibly being related to a "very special kind of lip gloss" that he wears... Hmmmm...

The article joins with the majority of the Torchwood community to indicate that January 16th is the date to keep open in the UK for the series return.

Well done, Rob! Rob, aka "Tremas", is a new writer for TW.tv and the first we've employed ahead of series two (watch this space!) - and from the looks of things, he's going to fit in fine!

Welcome to the team!

Anon;
In reading the article,it is worth pointing out that the author over at Digital Spy brags that he was able to partake in the pre-launch screening. Since that screening, a venerable flurry of spoilers has cropped up in various media. I think that the BBC may have pushed this pre-screening to get the media buzzing about the new “Safe-harbor*” friendly Torchwood so that folks who felt alienated from the series before might give it a second look now. I'll be curious to see if the "edited" edition appears on Sci-Fi Network or elsewhere that has stonger cable penetration than BBC America. (Which is considered a specialty channel by most cable systems here and is generally not part of basic packages.)

But that’s just my humble opinion from half the world away… :)

* By the way, in case you didn’t know what I meant. In the states, we don’t use the term “watershed” for our programming. But the Safe-harbor is the rules on network programming before 10pm.
