What's it called?
"Adam"
Who's it credited to?
Catherine Tregenna, writer ("Captain Jack Harkness", "Meat") and Andy Goddard, director ("Combat", "To the Last Man")
What do we know?
There's a new member of the Torchwood team, Adam - but he shouldn't be there. He's meddled with the team's memories and faked a whole life for himself. But the truth's about to emerge...
Major guest stars?
Bryan Dick plays the mysterious "Adam", and in flashback we see Demetri Goritsas playing Jack's father, Lauren Ward as his mother, Ethan Brooke as his little brother Gray and Jack Montgomery playing a young version of Jack himself. Kai Owen is back as Rhys, and Paul Kasey plays that pesky Weevil again.
Reviewing the reviews
Very good, actually! Apparently, it's from this point onwards that the series starts to kick some major butt. It's Catherine Tregenna too, so expect some lovely, genuine, emotion.
When's it on?
Tonight, BBC Two @ 9pm. There's no BBC Three tonight, so your only chance to catch it again is tomorrow, on BBC Two from 7pm.
What about America?
"Adam" airs on BBC America Saturday 23rd February, at 9pm. The BBC America schedule can be found here. You can also catch the episode in High Definition - on HD-Net - March 10th.
Look to the future...
Next up, Martha Jones returns in an episode called "Reset", and nothing will ever be the same again for one member of the team... After that, there's a chance to see a "Dead Man Walking", as the team attempt to come to terms with recent events...
Excitement level?
**** - A chance to explore a little of Captain Jack's backstory, including the mysterious "Gray". Plus, it's written by Catherine Tregenna. So they'll be tears before bedtime (we hope!)
BBC Three preview
BBC Three previews the next episode - "Reset" - straight after this one. You can read a preview of that episode by clicking here.

How awesome was that? And then Reset was fantastic and what happened to Owen!!!
Adam was a great episode. Loved how Adam was just there.
Reset is fab! Best epi. of the series so far.
But I so hope the Owen thing is um, oh everyone knows, I hope he comes back! Weevil King time.
omg owen dies!!!! he'll probably come back though
I was curious to see how close the Adam thing would be to the James thing (Border Princes) – but other than just being there like a season five Dawn, there was pleasantly little overlap (I liked BP, I just didn’t want to see repeated ideas so soon).
And the episode itself was fab – the series really has come into its own. Shy!Owen was adorable, the Tosh/Adam thing was very creepy, GDL rocked in every possible way, and the basic premise of people being little more than a collection of memories was nicely explored.
The slightly messianic handing-out-the-tablets scene was a bit off, though…
OMG- Jesus- that was the 1st thing I thought too! Owen: "who will save me?" Jack: "I will. " Well, apparently not (Reset) Jack as Jesus, kind of ick.
